What areas do you service?
Norfolk Electrical is based on the Sunshine Coast and services customers throughout South East Queensland where practical, including Noosa, Caloundra, the hinterland, Moreton Bay, Brisbane and surrounding areas. If you’re not sure whether you’re in range, send us your suburb and we’ll let you know.
Do you provide free quotes?
Yes. We provide detailed, itemised quotations for electrical, solar and battery work. Larger or more complex projects may require a site visit or an energy assessment first so the quote reflects the actual scope.
Can you install both solar and batteries?
Yes. We install solar systems, battery storage, or both together as a single integrated system. Where you already have solar, a battery can usually be added and configured to work with your existing inverter or with a new hybrid inverter.
Can you upgrade an existing solar system?
Yes. We add panels, replace ageing or failed inverters and reconfigure existing arrays. We’ll assess the current system first and tell you whether upgrading or replacing gives the better outcome.
Do you complete commercial electrical work?
Yes. We work across shops, offices, workshops, warehouses and industrial properties: fit-outs, three-phase power, lighting upgrades, emergency lighting, maintenance and fault finding, scheduled around your operating hours.
How long does an installation take?
It depends on scope. Most residential jobs such as lighting, power points or a switchboard upgrade are completed in a day. A typical residential solar or solar-and-battery installation is usually one to two days. Commercial projects are scheduled and staged to suit the site. We give you a timeframe with your quote.
What information do you need to prepare a quote?
Ideally: your address or suburb, a description of the work, photos of the area or switchboard, and for solar or battery enquiries a recent electricity bill or your interval data. The more you can share up front, the more accurate the quotation.
Do you provide off-grid electrical systems?
Yes. We design and install off-grid and backup power systems for rural properties, sheds, workshops and remote sites, sized around your actual daily energy usage and the loads you need to keep running.
Are your installations completed by qualified electricians?
Yes. All electrical work is carried out by qualified electricians in accordance with Australian Standards and relevant Queensland regulations, with the required certification provided on completion.
Still have a question?
Send it through. We’d rather answer it properly than have you guess.
